Sea Ranch Rules
All roads and facilities within the Sea Ranch are technically private, and they do tend to be pretty strict about adherence to their rules. Some important notes:
- Please park only in the driveway; street parking is not allowed
- When driving within the Sea Ranch, please make sure to display a parking pass; these can be found in the “Hello” notebook. (In the kitchen, (top drawer to the right of the fridge). Please make sure to return these passes when you depart; they do cost money to replace
- When visiting any of the Sea Ranch rec centers, make sure to bring one teal-colored guest pass per person (children included). These can also be found in the “Hello” folder in the kitchen.
Wildlife
One of the most charming things about The Sea Ranch is the abundant wildlife on display. Please be respectful of animals you may encounter and give them plenty of leeway. Make sure your dogs are under control, both to avoid disturbing the wildlife and to protect your pets from harm.
It is rare, but not unheard of, to hear reports of larger predators like mountain lions in the area. Even as recently as November 2022 there was a report of a black bear on a deck on the west side of Sea Ranch. Use appropriate caution and keep a close eye on your kids!
Pools
There are three outdoor pools maintained by the Sea Ranch, which you can access with the teal-colored guest passes (one per person):

- Ohlson Recreation Center: 37600 Highway 1. The most popular pool for lounging and playing. Open swim hours are 1pm – 7pm; morning swims require a lane reservation via https://tsra.simplybook.me/
- The rec center includes basketball and tennis courts
- Del Mar Center: 40600 Leeward Road. The closest pool to the house. The recreation center has a family sauna room and sauna rooms in each of the changing rooms. Open swim hours are 1pm – 7pm; morning swims require a lane reservation via https://tsra.simplybook.me/
Note: there are no towels provided at the pools, so make sure you take your own or beach towels provided in the downstairs master bedroom closet.
